the field of sports medicine

and rehabilitation to Synapse.


A native of Chicago,

Michael has been fortunate

to work with all levels of athletes from the weekend warrior to professional athletes.  Prior to this he was an Athletic Trainer with the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL for 6 years, additionally he has worked with teams from the NBA, MLB, MLS and NFL.


 He continues to serve as the Director of Medical Services for USA Rugby, a role he has held since 2005.  He has taken part in the last 2 Rugby World Cups in 2007 and 2011.  He also serves on the Sports Medicine & Science Committee for US Figure Skating. Michael has been active with legislation in the athletic training profession. He also teaches courses in anatomy and rehabilitation throughout the country and serves as an expert witness in sports medicine and head injuries.  Michael received a B.S. degree in Athletic Training from Southern Illinois University and a M.S. degree in Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology from the University of Illinois.  

Michael and his wife Amy, a physician at the Children's Hospital Colorado, reside in Aurora and enjoy spending time with their triplets and their twins. 

Priya is our new office manager.

She is originally from

the Laurentien's, Canada.

She moved to Atlanta, GA

in 1999 and there she obtained

her degree in Psychology from

Georgia State University.

and experienced many different

customer/patient focused work

environments.

After 18 years of living as a "southern bell" she decided it was time to move on to bigger and better things. She recently moved to Colorado and is loving her new life here and working for Synapse. At Synapse Physical Therapy, Priya is excited to be part of the team! She is also very eager to help patients with their care plans, while watching their quality of life improve. During Priya's free time she hangs out with her boyfriend and 2 doggies. So far Priya is thoroughly enjoying all Colorado has to offer with the varieties of places to dine, along with the beautiful weather and breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains.

Nicole has been a physical

therapist practicing in an

outpatient orthopedic

sports setting for almost

10 years. She is originally

from Ohio and graduated

from the University of

Toledo in 2006 with a

Masters in Physical

Therapy. Due to her

commitment to learning

and providing the highest level of patient care, she obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012. She attended Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago Illinois, while continuing to work full-time in a leading orthopedic practice.

 Nicole has always been active in sports including soccer, basketball, softball, and running. She became a physical therapist due to her passion for helping athletes recover from sports injuries. She specializes in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions including but not limited to: post-surgical, athletic, and overuse injuries. Additionally she works collaboratively with patients, parents, and coaches of athletes to help prevent future athletic injuries. In physical therapy treatments, Nicole places an emphasis on manual therapy techniques including dry needling and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, coupled with individualized exercise programs and patient education to ensure long-term success for her patients.

 Outside of work Nicole enjoys teaching yoga, traveling, climbing 14ers, hiking, weight lifting, running, skiing, and other outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. 


Max Fabricant is born

and raised in Phoenix, Arizona.

From 2013-2015 he played

college baseball at

South Mountain Community College.

From there he got an opportunity

to finish his playing career at

Regis University. From 2015-2017

 Max finished his playing career

at Regis. Max is still an undergraduate student studying health and exercise science and plans on graduating in the spring 2018 semester.  Furthermore, Max wants to pursue a career in Physical Therapy.

MacKenna is a recent graduate 

of Ottawa University in Kansas.  

She played on the soccer team

for all 4 years of her career.


A Colorado native and long time

at Synapse PT, she has a clear

and has loads of empathy for the

Paige was born

in Broomfield, Colorado

and graduated in May 2017

from Adams State University.

There she received her degree

in Healthcare Administration

and Small Business Management. 
She played softball

at Legacy High School

and won 2 State Championships.

Paige also trained at Impact Sports while she was in high school. She then continued to play softball at Adams State all 4 years and is now looking forward to helping athletes.

Anhnhi is a Canadian native, who

made her way to South Florida

on a Division-1 soccer scholarship

at Florida Atlantic University. 

There, she completed her B.S in

Exercise Science and Health

Promotion.  Not wanting to leave

the year-long summer, she continued her studies in Florida and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Nova Southeastern University.

Anhnhi enjoys treating patients of all impairments but growing up playing a variety of sports, she has a passion for treating athletes and sports related injuries.  To supplement her skills, she continued her studies and obtained her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification through the NSCA.  Anhnhi's treatment style emphasizes individualized care, treating each diagnosis based on specific patient goals and activities.   

Eventually being drawn back to nature and the outdoors, Anhnhi moved to Colorado in July 2016.  In her free time, she enjoys working out, hiking, snowboarding, and finding new adventures.


Andrew Stewart is

a Chicago native

who grew up in the

south suburbs of

Chicago.   From the

age of 5 he has

played soccer,

baseball/softball,

football, basketball,

and hockey; however

once he reached high-school he focused

on soccer year round and recently joined an entry level rugby team to try on something new.  

He graduated from Bradley University with a Health Science major and continued at Bradley for his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014.   While attending school he also coached the Special Olympic swim team for 4 years and taught children with cerebral palsy, downs syndrome, and autism how to swim at an elite level.


 After graduating he moved out to Colorado to enjoy the mountains year round with hiking, cycling, and snowboarding.


 In the clinic Andrew enjoys treating patients of all ages and backgrounds to return them to what they love doing using treatments backed by research.  Areas of interest include sports injuries, orthopedic (both surgical and nonsurgical), vestibular, and pediatric.
