Jake Diers, LAT, ATC

Jake joined the Synapse team in June of 2023 and is the Athletic Trainer for Jefferson Academy.
Jake spent most of his youth in the small town of Bird City, KS but moved to Fruita, CO with his
family his sophomore year of high school. His love for sports medicine began this same year
when he injured his ankle while running track. His high school was lucky enough to have an
Athletic Trainer that allowed him to learn basic skills and perform clinical hours supporting the
various teams of Fruita Monument HS.
A member of a proud military family, Jake went on to serve in the United States Air Force as an
K9 handler for eight years before sustaining an injury that would reunite him with his love of
Athletic Training. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training with Cum Laude
distinction from Metropolitan State University of Denver in May of 2023. During his time at
MSU Denver, Jake was fortunate enough to work with a variety of sports including: Football,
cross country, track & field, gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, golf, lacrosse and his favorite
sports- ice hockey, soccer, and baseball.
Jake currently resides in Aurora with his girlfriend, 8-year-old son and dog- Rush. A diehard
Avalanche fan, in his off time, he enjoys playing hockey, attending Avs/Rockies or Rapids
games, going to concerts and exploring the natural beauty Colorado has to offer.
